Meeting with the clergy of Kotayk Diocese

On May 30, 2008 the executive director of ART held a meeting with Archbishop and twelve clergy of Kotayk Diocese. The goal of the meeting was to present the current activities of ART in the framework of the organization’s 2007-2010 strategy, and to learn about the clergy’s proposed project ideas.
The clergy presented ideas on implementation of various projects, such as establishment of a museum of Kecharis monastery; renovation of church school in Charentsavan; implementation of educational projects in secondary schools to be taught by clergy; implementation of cultural-spiritual projects; establishment of small production plant for the production of furniture to create jobs for the young people of orphanages; establishment of cheese production plants for income generation in the communities, and many other project ideas.
The participants expressed need to participate in seminars organized by ART focusing on program work, and it was agreed that the interested clergy will be regularly invited to ART seminars, and the proposed project ideas will be further discussed with ART executive director and Archbishop of Kotayk Diocese.
