Capacity Building
The overall objective of this programme is to promote development of civil society by increased capacity building, systematic learning and distribution of information in different fields for Churches, NGOs and their networks.
ART has already gained sufficient experiences in general capacity building fields, systematic learning and distribution of information and will focus on organization of trainings in new development fields for the coming years. ART in the framework of its capacity building program provides training and education to its church-related and secular partners with the aim to help them to be key players in transformational development and social diakonia.
Developing capacity of the ART partners
ART is planning to start a systematic process of learning for its partners and in 2008 will organize a cycle of training sessions on Institutional Development & Organizational Strengthening; Strategic Planning; Program Development and Management; Community Development and Modern Challenges, including Emergency Relief Development, Diaconia and Development, and may others.
Developing capacity of the ART staff
To appropriately qualify for the newly adopted directions, the ART staff needs to obtain new skills and knowledge to coordinate the activities which are directed to the raising and seeking the appropriate ways to solve pressing issues of the society as well as to improve and update its knowledge on different topics of project work for effective and productive project portfolio management.
To turn into a capacity building organisation, the ART needs to get more knowledge and skills of systematic learning based on practical experiences and "learning to learn" (tools, but also approach or principles for the overall organization).
